Garden Design

We undertake the whole project from initial consultation through the design process to the actual construction on site.  The style of garden is tailored to suit the client’s needs and budget.

A typical design process would include the following:

Initial Visit

At the initial meeting we can discuss how you would like to use your new garden, which current features and planting you’d like to keep or remove, your general likes and dislikes as well as what features you’d like to be included.  This can be anything from patios and entertaining areas, children’s play areas , vegetable plots and water features to more practical elements such as clothes drying, bin storage and even composting.  The more information you can provide the more accurate we can produce a design.  Don’t worry though, you can also provide our designer with a completely blank canvas.

At this stage we can also offer general advice on materials, future garden layout, timescales and approximate costings depending on the extent of works required.  It can also be helpful too to have an approximate budget in mind thus speeding up the whole design process.

The initial consultation is free of charge.

Garden survey

At some stage the garden must be accurately measured. With smaller gardens this can often be done during the initial visit. For larger gardens however a separate visit maybe necessary.

Concept Design and Quotation

After the initial meeting and measure up our designer will prepare a concept plan for your garden based around your ideas.  Once complete - this plan will be sent to you with a costing for the works involved.  It maybe, and is often the case, that the client wishes to amend the plan - if so a further meeting can be arranged.

At this point a final plan and costing is drawn up, presented and agreed.  We then look for a minimum deposit of 10% of the total job cost before work can be scheduled and a start date provided.

Commencement of work

Work based on the final plan then begins - any major alterations to the project as it progresses can be accommodated under agreement.  This means that no plan is ever set in stone and things can be changed.  It is our belief and experience that working closely with our customers from the outset, is the best way to ensure that your requirements and ideas are realised.

Completion of work

We offer a complete aftercare and maintenance service to help establish your garden and let it flourish year after year.
